Panthers Have a New QB

The Carolina Panthers may not have had a first round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, but that didn’t stop them from selecting one of the best quarterbacks coming from this year’s recruiting class.
Notre Dame’s Jimmy Clausen was chosen on Friday in the second round as the 48th overall pick by the Panthers and I couldn’t be happier. It was stunning that Clausen wasn’t picked in the first round, especially since Tebow was selected as the 25th overall pick by Denver. Even more impressive is that he was still available for the second round pick. I was biting my nails as each team picked, hoping that he would still be available.
A young quarterback is exactly what the Panthers need, especially since they’ve lost Delhomme this off season. He’ll definitely compete against Moore for the starting QB spot.
Do you think Clausen will do well in Charlotte?
Panthers Upset The Vikings

How awesome was last night’s game? The Panthers’ offense was amazing. Julius Peppers placed so much pressure on Brett Favre that you would think that Favre was a rookie if you didn’t notice the 5 o’clock shadow on his face.
According to ESPN.com, It was supposed to be a night when the Minnesota Vikings celebrated a division title and inched closer to the best record in the NFC.Instead it was night of dropped passes, missed tackles, poor protection — and a dustup between Brett Favre and the coach who worked so hard to bring him back from retirement. After the Carolina Panthers dominated the fourth quarter Sunday night in a 26-7 win over the Vikings, Favre acknowledged he had a “heated discussion” with coach Brad Childress.
Read more on the article here. Even though there was a heated discussion, if Favre had stayed out of the game, the Panthers’ offense would have still eaten them alive.
What are your thoughts on the game?

You can’t wait for the Sunday showdown. The 5-7 Carolina Panthers are set to take on the 7-5 New England Patriots on Sunday at 1pm.
According to ESPN.com, The team will try to avoid its first skid of that length in more than seven years as it hosts the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, with New England looking to keep sole possession of the AFC East lead and remain unbeaten at Gillette Stadium.
