T’is The Season To Be Grilling
Summertime is only moments away. I know sometimes it seems like it has already arrived. When the grill is out everyday is a holiday and you can cook just about anything. You can grill potatoes, corn even fruit is great on the grill.
Take this basic recipe for grilling pineapples and throw in all kinds of spices.
Grilling Pineapple is super easy and you can give it such a variety of flavor- depending on what you coat it with.
The basic recipe is a fat splash of vegetable oil, 3 tablespoons of honey, a big fat squeeze of lemon (or lime) juice and a pinch black pepper.
Toss fresh pineapple slices (that about 1/2 to 1 inch thick) in the marinade and throw them on a pre-heated grill.
Try these combos:
* lemon and roughly chopped basil.
* cayenne and cinnamon
* finely chopped chili and orange zest
* ginger powder, finely chopped scallions and replace the vegetable oil with sesame oil.
