More and more seniors over the age of fifty have been logging on to computers than ever.
Technology is no respecter of age come one come all. Senors are logging in to the Tech world.
A recent post from The Cary News shared an informed story about the classes that more older people have been joining to learn more about technology and computers.
Mary Ellington, age 74, says that she knew it was time to learn more about computers when her 9 year old grandson asked her for her email address and she didn’t have one.
“I felt so left out of the modern world.” ~Mary Ellington
Senior’s into Social Networking
I personally know seniors who are over the age of fifty or sixty who say they don’t want anything to do with computers or the internet, they think it’s to hard to learn. But that’s not true. I also know seasoned elders over the age of sixty who are eager to learn more about the digital world of computers and technology. My father, who is sixty plus years old, just got himself a smart phone and he has begun to text more; which is pretty cool. My mother is practically becoming fluid at the language of Facebook and has become quite the Facebook social networking. If you haven’t logged on yet consider this: Technology and Computers aren’t hard they are just different.
Have a look at this article from The Cary News and you can see how Seniors are learning more about Technology and Computers.

It’s a Pool Party at the Apartments at Arboretum, Cary, NC
Pool parties are fun and it’s always great to get to know more of our neighbors and residents here at The Apartments at Arboretum in Cary, NC. That is why this Thursday from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. we will be having a resident pool party. This is an opportunity for us to party and socialize while having a cool time hanging out pool-side.
A pool party is one of the greatest events that you can host in the summer time. Why shouldn’t it be? Whenever there is food and music at pool-side then you’ve got an instant successful event.
So let’s socialize, meet and greet more of the people that we live with with free food and music. The weather man says that it will be 90 degrees, sunny and ideal to be at our community swimming pool. There is an 80% opportunity for Sun Shine all day long 8/26/10.
It’ll be great finally having an opportunity to speak with some of your neighbors and put a name to a face. We look forward to seeing you Thursday. If you have any music requests bring your ipod and we may be able to play some of your tunes to get the pool party jumping.

One can’t just buy into the hype of buying a house without doing the proper research. Unless it is an investment property, the only one collecting payments on a house is the bank. An asset is something that puts money into your pocket.
But a House is an Asset
If you step into the realm of purchasing your own home in order to be successful you will have to have
some financial literacy, wouldn’t you agree? Unless your house is putting money on your pocket it is not an asset. But most people think that it is. You must be in-the-know when it comes to real estate whether you decide to rent from The Apartments at Arboretum forever, live in another apartment complex or purchase a home, have the financial intelligence to come out on top.

Most of the time a bad or good decision doesn’t come from the choice you made but the reason why you made it and if you had enough knowledge about the situation. Have a great weekend in Cary North Carolina Everyone!

Okay, you have got to see this new fitness gadget. It’s called the Fitbit.
It accurately tracks the calories that you’ve burned, the steps you’ve taken, distance you’ve traveled and even your sleep quality. This wireless tracker has a 3D motion sensor like the one in the Nintendo Wii. It clips anywhere on your clothing and automatically uploads to your computer when you are within 25-50 feet. Sounds way cool right? I can see something like this really keeping me conscious of my fitness activities.
You can even log in to the Fitbit Website to see more detailed data.
