If you are looking for something to do Bolling is a great activity for the family or a night out with the gang.

Buffaloe Lanes Cary is only minutes away from our community.  With an adult league, youth bolling and tons of party packages Buffaloe Lanes really sounds like a great night out.

I haven’t went bolling in a little while but every time I go I always have fun.  I just found out that they have a pizza speacial with a 12″Pizza (Cheese or Pepperoni) & Pitcher of Soda for only $10.

I almost felt like I was in a commercial for a second… Lol.  I’m going bolling.  Hope to see you there.  Here are some bolling tips for two hand bolling:

Cary Savings

I recently found this amazing website that offers discounts to local places in the Raleigh/ Durham area. Groupon.com offers a daily deal such as half-off tickets to the theater, discounts off restaurants and unique, cheap packages to your favorite florist, photographer, etc.

It’s simple to sign-up and completely free. All you have to do is check the website or wait for your daily email to start saving some money!

My favorite deal offered this month was a $22 gift certificate to Backyard Bistro for only $10! That’s a savings of more than 50%! I plan to use it this week on a night that I don’t feel like cooking.

I love that there is no obligation to buy at Groupon.com and there are tons of deals right here in Cary. You can even buy multiple deals for the ones that you love!

Has anyone bought a deal from Groupon.com?

Free Cup of Java

StarbucksSo was anyone like me and burning the midnight oil last night trying to complete your taxes online? Aaaahhhh. What a great relief to be done! And if you’re even a worse procrastinator than I, you can always file for an extention.

In celebration of my completetion and in efforts to stay awake all day since I went to bed way too late last night, I stopped at Starbucks this morning.

I had my reusable mug in hand because Starbucks is giving us ALL a gift today. If you bring in your own mug, you get a free cup of coffee. Isn’t that fantastic?

The IRS may not give you good news, but I hope I did today. Now go get your free cup, finish your taxes and breath a sigh of relief.

The closest Starbucks to The Apartments at the Arboretum is located just around the corner at 125 Weston Parkway. Enjoy!!

St. Patrick’s Day Festivities

leprechaun cartoonIt’s that time of year to pull out that hideous kelly green sweater that you save for one time a year. St. Patrick’s Day is next Wednesday, March 17th, but the celebration of the Luck of the Irish begins this weekend on Saturday, March 13th in downtown Raleigh.

The 2010 Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade will start at noon on Wilmington St. and it will end at Moore Square.

When the Parade is over the Wearin’ ‘O the Green festival will begin! The Festival is held at the end of the parade route. There will be live music and dancing. In addition, there will be a wide variety of vendor booths: Irish Organizations, Irish jewelry and other trinkets, food vendors, children’s games and activities. Fun for the entire family!

Are any of our residents at The Apartments at Arboretum planning to attend? Share your photos on our Facebook Fan Page. We’d love to see our wall covered in green next week!
